The client wished for a space that were lighter and brighter, more open and welcoming, while keeping with existing plantation style architecture. The design concept was a revised take on plantation style, incorporating updated tones from earth and history. We utilized lighter transitions between colors to create a sense of space and lightness, a natural palette for flexible use of color accents, and a soft atmosphere to evoke a feeling of comfort and warmth.
We eliminated the old traditional style window treatments and replaced them with a custom look that made the windows feel taller in the space with wooden cornices and long, swooping drapery panels. This project was unique because of its quick timeline! From beginning of design to project completion was only four months, which included the custom designed carpet and drapery.
