What started in 1997 as a small Wilmington design studio has grown into a full-service interior design firm serving homeowners, business owners, builders, architects, developers, and hospitality professionals across the region. Through it all, one thing has stayed the same: our belief that great design should be as personal and purposeful as the people who experience it.
We believe the best interiors aren't defined by a particular style or trend. They're defined by how well they respond to the people, place, and purpose behind them.
A home should feel personal and comfortable. A workplace should support the people who use it. A restaurant should create an experience. A healthcare environment should feel welcoming and reassuring. And a multifamily or hospitality project should make people want to come back.
That's why we start every project by listening.
We want to understand how you live, how you work, what matters to you, and what you want your space to accomplish. From there, we bring together creativity, experience, and meticulous attention to detail to create an interior that feels considered from every angle.
Behind every Big Sky project is a team of people who genuinely care about what they do and about the people they're doing it for.
Our team brings together different backgrounds, design perspectives, personalities, and areas of expertise. Some of us are drawn to color. Some obsess over floor plans. Some can spot the perfect fabric from across the room. Some make sure every order, delivery, and detail stays on track.
Together, we make the whole thing work.
We're a close-knit, woman-led team, and we believe that our best work happens when we share ideas, challenge each other, laugh a little, and bring our individual strengths to the table. We don't all think alike, and that's exactly the point.
But our work doesn't stop with our internal team.
Over nearly three decades, we've built relationships with trusted architects, builders, contractors, artisans, vendors, and craftspeople throughout Wilmington and beyond. Those relationships allow us to bring the right people to the table and help turn ambitious ideas into finished spaces.
