Plantation Village’s lobby has been given a new lease on life after being impacted by North Carolina’s coastal, hurricane weather. Between the height of the ceilings, the moldings and the general grandeur of the space, the aesthetic is very traditional. A mix of timeless beauty and grace. The lobby features classic design elements with functional style and simple sophistication – ignoring the fussiness of time’s trending style.
This renovation was very much an exercise of working with what we had and designing from that. We refreshed the interiors with durable LVT that conceive as plank flooring with an intentional antique finish and worn wood. Coordination and communication between Designer and Contractor, as well as quick-ship after the storm were key factors during installation to avoid interruption. [Photos: Mark Steelman Photography]
