The owner of The Lodges at Lake Wylie apartment complex wanted the new clubhouse to capture the relaxed feeling that comes with lake life. He wanted something completely different from the design he had seen in other hospitality settings—something rich, something stylish. Our designers were inspired by the warmth and visual interest of Western and Native American motifs. From the saturated earth tone color palette to textural natural materials, we took the inspiration and ran with it, creating an updated translation of historical displays.
We utilized ancient materials in modern applications, like stone in the lighting fixtures and wood in the wall décor. Natural textures like leather, suede, heavily woven fabrics, and even hair on hide were weaved into cozy gathering areas to create warm spaces to relax and entertain. We installed a metallic wallcovering on the ceiling above the seating areas surrounding either side of the fireplace. This allowed the light and warmth of the fire to be reflected back into the space. The LVT vinyl flooring at the entry was designed and installed in a way that mimics a Native American texture. From the surface finishes to the accessories, the selections our designers make for each project are intentional.
