These clients wished for an updated kitchen and entertainment area that blended with their existing 1950s traditional style home. Chef-quality appliances, extra storage, and functionality was key for this growing family. With a narrow footprint, we wanted to give these clients a kitchen that invited light in and felt more spacious. In choosing a clean, white quartz for their waterfall island that carries into a seamless kitchen backsplash, complemented by contrasting linen white and warm wood cabinetry; the kitchen became a bright and inviting space for the family to gather and enjoy together.
Extending outside of the kitchen area is a striking wet bar and mudroom that was once the home’s laundry room. Transforming this space into an entertainment extension of the kitchen and a clutter-free drop zone from their newly added porch created a beautiful transition from the kitchen to the living space—connecting their existing color scheme and classic style. Adding in a personal, yet functional touch to this space, a custom wood beam and bench area was hand-crafted by the client—showcasing their amazing talent and tying in the warm wood tones from the kitchen and surrounding areas in the home.
