This project began as a truly memorable surprise, a husband’s thoughtful anniversary gift to his wife. The vision was to refresh the home’s most formal spaces in a way that celebrated treasured heirlooms while creating a spirited, welcoming atmosphere for a family full of life. With children, a beloved dog, and a steady flow of friends, the goal was to design interiors that felt timeless and traditional while remaining approachable and personal.
In the foyer, the original concrete floor had seen years of wear. Rather than replace it, we embraced its imperfections and turned it into a feature. A hand-stenciled pebble pattern in soft, organic tones now sets the stage, pulling colors from the adjacent dining room wallpaper and offering a charming first impression. The living room was reimagined to invite gathering, with refreshed furnishings, subtle patterns, and heirloom pieces layered together for a look that is refined but never untouchable. The dining room became the true showpiece, wrapped in wallpaper inspired by an 18th-century tapestry. Its soft branches and faded hues bring movement and lightness, cooling the deep mahogany of the antique table and casegoods while playing beautifully against a modern chandelier. The result across all three spaces is a home that honors family tradition while confidently embracing the present, endearing and memorable in every detail.
