Light, openness, and connection to the outdoors guided the transformation of this waterfront home. Architectural adjustments were made to improve flow and sightlines, with widened openings and new windows carefully placed to frame views of the water and surrounding landscape. A soft white palette creates a fresh foundation throughout, layered with gentle blues and greens, warm wood tones, and subtle brass accents to keep the interiors feeling bright yet grounded.
The kitchen was reworked to prioritize light and view over excess cabinetry. Upper cabinets were removed in favor of a wall of windows, allowing the outdoors to become part of the daily experience. A thoughtfully designed island replaced lost storage while maintaining function and balance. In the bathrooms, pattern became a defining design element. Wallcoverings were selected early in the process and helped guide decisions throughout the home. Each bathroom features its own distinctive pattern, yet they share a sense of movement, color, and mood that feels cohesive and attuned to both the client and the space. Thoughtfully chosen tile, mirrors, and lighting complement the wallcoverings rather than compete with them, allowing the bathrooms to feel playful, layered, and intentional. Original hardwood floors uncovered during renovation were refinished and integrated with newer flooring, preserving a sense of continuity throughout the home. Outside, a limewashed exterior softens the facade and unifies the structure, bringing a calm, cohesive finish to the project as a whole.
