Our client returned to us after our successful collaboration years ago, this time with a new challenge: designing the expansion of their practice into the suites next door. Construction was already underway, and our team quickly stepped in to guide finish selections and bring cohesion across the growing space. From the start, the goal was clear: create a tranquil, coastal-inspired environment that feels modern, professional, and welcoming for both patients and staff.
A herringbone flooring pattern became a defining design choice, adding subtle movement and refinement while setting the tone for the refreshed interiors. Layers of soft neutrals paired with coastal blues provided the calm, airy atmosphere the client envisioned. Across reception, waiting areas, exam rooms, offices, and conference spaces, every finish was chosen to balance practical needs with a clean and modern style. Noise quickly became one of the project’s biggest challenges. With multiple waiting areas and a busy reception, the office struggled to keep the environment calm and peaceful. Our solution was one of our favorite design elements: a custom wave installation crafted from acoustic panels for the reception desk. This not only softened sound but also created a striking focal point that echoed the project’s coastal theme. Decorative lighting, fresh fabrics, and thoughtfully placed artwork further enhanced the sense of cohesion, pulling the spaces together with intention. What makes this project especially meaningful is the ongoing relationship with our client. Having designed their original practice in 2019, we were honored to return and continue the story of their space. The finished expansion feels modern, soft, and serene, supporting both staff and patients in an environment designed to put them at ease.
