With a fondness (read: small obsession) for interior design from childhood, I migrated south from New Jersey to earn a B.S. in Interior Design from East Carolina University. Since then, I’ve grown my skills in many areas of both residential and commercial design. For every project type, no matter the scale, I enjoy discovering clients’ wants, needs and hints about individual style. With that comes a new mold for a vibrant, thoughtful design that helps bring to life the spaces that express the vision they’re after, but needed help realizing. Thinking through the nitty gritty is what I do best; envisioning what will be seen from certain angles, how the space can/will potentially be used, ways to incorporate a ‘wow’ factor, measurements, space planning, color placement… Design is in the details – and I love every bit of it! I find inspiration from many different eras and styles, but have found a common thread to where I gravitate most. I think a good balance of old and new elements layered in spaces make for the richest, most interesting, rooms. Most importantly, however, I find that a healthy dose of color is always good for the soul. I am a true lover of good design in all forms, but interior design especially, and I am so grateful to be able to share my creative energy with others. Whether transforming old or dreaming up new spaces, my hope is that my spirit for art and design infuses projects with upbeat and positive energy. How extraordinary to have the potential to enrich someone’s life experience by enhancing their surroundings.
