Ayla Schares

Interior Designer

Good design creates meaningful experiences. Starting the very first time I meet a new client, the experience begins to form but is far from over even when the job is completed. It continues on through the lives of my residential clients, extending to their family, friends, and in commercial projects through people in public spaces, medical offices and nursing homes. To develop this experience, I strive to personally understand my clients; who they are and what design goals they hope to achieve. I consider this an essential first step in gaining client trust and cultivating a clear design concept that will meet their design goals both aesthetically and functionally. Implementing the principles of Evidenced-Based Design, I’m inspired to provide safe, clean, and inviting spaces, making people feel welcome and happy in their finished space. Since joining Big Sky Design, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, pursuing my passions for both residential and commercial design. From small residential updates to large newly constructed commercial facilities, I have furthered my design practices through working directly with architects, contractors, and builders. No matter what the project type, I approach every job with the same fundamental goal; to improve the quality of people’s lives by improving the space around them.
