PNCC Pro Shop

Traditional, Coastal, Casual

Porters Neck, NC

After Hurricane Florence, our clients at Porters Neck Country Club decided to use the damage as an opportunity to revamp the Pro Shop and locker rooms. They wanted it to look high-end with a touch of casual design elements to create a comfortable environment for members to enjoy. With a tight timeframe and a predetermined budget, we wanted to keep the renovation local. Our friend, Jimmy Kaylis with Kaylis Barcraft & Design, crafted custom shelving for the shop. The wood used for the custom shelving complemented the coastal hues used on the walls and other areas, and gave the shop a high-end feel. To give the space a casual design element, we put in all new carpet that reflects the surrounding coastal areas and features a pattern to help hide dirt from heavy foot traffic.

We also reworked the layout of the shop, placing the POS desk at the front of the shop to maximize the retail space and give staff more room to work. To break up the space, we added in a faux wood LVT flooring in the shoe area and comfortable seating to encourage members to enjoy the casual atmosphere and live golf playing on the tv. For the locker rooms, we opened up the layout to give members more space. The lounge area was elevated with new wallcovering and upholstered furniture, and the bathrooms were revamped with all new wallcovering, tile flooring, and vanities. Overall, the Pro Shop and locker rooms have a high-end, casual atmosphere—reflecting Porters Neck Country Club’s traditional design but implementing a sportier feel.
