The clients wished for a more contemporary translation of a coastal design scheme. Together we envisioned clean lines and spa-like colors with purposefully positioned organic elements to connect patients with nature for the purpose of relaxation and pleasant pateint experiences. We wanted to complement the soft colors and contemporary space with beautiful artwork, wood finishes in the furnishings and decorative lighting. Our favorite element are the zebrawood veneer drum pendants in the lobby.
We strived to create a high-end experience and sense of well-being for the patients with the design. We worked hard to maintain the number of seats needed while maintaining comfortable, green spaces. The artwork used throughout was a combination of some local art and other more stylized nature pieces from Viapagi. One of the doctors had seen a stunning twig sculpture at a resort in Raleigh, NC. The beauty of this organic art piece became a main idea generator for us!
